The Ladies Philoptochos St Dorkas Adelphotis News:

The Ladies Philoptochos welcomes all to join our chapter. We will begin our membership drive on October 25th, the feast day of St Dorkas, our patron saint. The Philoptochos will host coffee hour and have an information and membership signup table.  JOIN US AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Over the summer and in September, the ladies were hard at work making delicious Greek desserts for our festival; all the pastries sold out at this successful event.  Thank you to all who made the pastry sales and festival a success.  We also supported SOFIA, a local organization assisting battered women, by participating in their annual walk in September as well as supporting them with monetary donations.

Summer outreach continues. Philoptochos Operation Back Pack Helps Kids! Philoptochos teamed up with FOCUS so that over 300 back packs and school supplies were distributed in the Bronx.  Our parish donated 61 backpacks – thank you to all who made it possible.
