His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros traveled to Albany Met with Governor Kathy Hochul, and was welcomed by the Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins to Celebrate Greek Independence Day.

His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros traveled to Albany Met with Governor Kathy Hochul, and was welcomed by the Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins. His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros was also welcomed by NY State Senators Michael Gianaris, Andrew Gounardes, James Skoufis and NY State Assembly members John Lemondes and Michael Tannousis.
A reception was offered and Prominent Greek Americans were Honored for their contributions to the Community. They were Dr. Florentia Christodoulidou, Fr. Chris Talleos, Christina Tettonis, Maria Pappas and Michael Labatos. His Eminence later Offered the Opening Prayers at The NY State Assembly and to the NY State Senate.
Accompanying His Eminence were Fr. Panagiotis Papazafiropoulos, Fr. Evagoras Constantinides, Deacon Ieremeas, Elaine Allen and Stratos Safioleas and AHEPA Supreme President Savas Tsivicos and 2024 NY Greek Parade Chairman Philip Christopher.
